Gender Summit 8 North America 2016: 28 - 29 April 2016, Mexico City, Mexico
The Gender Summit 8 will see the Summit return to North America for the second time on. The event will be hosted by The National Council on Science and Technology of Mexico (CONACYT).
This Gender Summit aims to highlight how science can be a tool to break all kinds of borders: gender borders, geographic borders, disciplinary borders, educational borders as well as cultural and institutional borders; the kind of science able to break these boundaries comes from an environment of diversity and inclusion, key elements to innovation. Mexico, a country of great cultural diversity located in the heart of the American continent, is the host of the eighth Gender Summit and will introduce the Latin American perspective to the second North American Gender Summit. This Summit will move towards an exercise of a multi-sector dialogue and a multidisciplinary reflection that enriches the development of policy instruments for gender equality in the field of science and technology.
