Preparations to the 9th all-Poland Congress of Women continue. We will gather in Poznań on the 9th and 10th of September, to discuss how to make Poland a better and fair place. To make it a country where women and men enjoy freedom, equal rights and opportunities, and children live a safe and colourful life. We will discuss how to defend democracy and the rule of law against threats of authoritarianism and populism, and how to defend and embrace women’s rights and freedom. Following our slogan this year, we are announcing an "Alert for women's rights".
At the Congress, you will have a chance to attend lectures, discussions and workshops; to share experience, create coalitions, build networks of friends and allies, embrace solidarity and support. You will be able to visit the Women’s Park and enjoy a broad cultural programme.
We offer several thematic centres (panels, discussions, workshops) concerning foreign policy, domestic policy, resistance movements, issues of ecology, education, economics and health (we will speak about addictions and depressions). We will discuss ecoterrorism (and our government’s role in it) and ecofeminism (following ‘Pokot’ a movie by Agnieszka Holland). We will think of the future of contemporary social movements that defend women's rights, like the Black Protest.
Among our topics we will debate about the changes in the educational system (its recent "de-formation” and the unclear future of school institution), concerns of seniors; challenges and opportunities for people with disabilities (under the title “We want a full life”; centre run by people with disabilities and their relatives).
Local elections are upcoming and we encourage you to take part (since local government with no women can only represent less than half of the society). We will be imagining the future of Poland and Europe. We will pay a closer look at the labour market, market innovation, and precariat of women; as well as the results of the programme “500+”.
In the CENTRE OF LIFE we will consider problems of maternity, prenatal care, sexual education, education of difficult children.
In the MEDIA CENTRE we will present results of the annual media monitoring concerning gender equality (or inequality). We will debate on the language of politics and the hate speech that floods social media and the public sector.
In the GRRRLPOWER CENTRE young feminists will introduce their world visions, and the SPIRITUAL CENTER will bring you into a state of peace and strength with Ewa Woydyłło and other psychologists.
With much happening, we look forward to the festivity, and most cordially invite you SIGN UP HERE! (participation is free of charge)
